I was inspired to use the layers to make this textured canvas.

Follow these steps to make one of your own:

Adhere a 5.75x5.75" text weight printed paper to a 6x6" canvas with Bookbinding Glue and foam brush. Stencil the largest open flower onto the canvas with texture paste. Add several layers and allow each layer to dry between applications.

Paint the entire canvas with ivory acrylic paint. Wipe away excess paint to allow the print to show through. Re-align the stencil onto the flowers and apply pink acrylic paint with a foam brush. Allow the paint to dry.

Place the detailed overlay onto the pink roses and apply a lighter shade of pink to create highlights. Stencil yellow paint into the center of each flower, and use two shades of green for the leaves.

Adhere the wooden "Hello Sunshine" element to the foreground of the canvas for to create a cheerful finishing touch.

Create a vintage look for your canvas by applying a watered-down brown acrylic paint wash. Paint the entire canvas with the wash.

Leave it alone, or if you're like me and seem to have a difficult time doing that, use a white gel pen to add additional highlights.
