The Vintage Americana cards are perfect for acknowledging and appreciating those we respect and admire. You'll create twelve beautiful cards with this collection, and the timing couldn't be more perfect.
I like to explore new card styles and also review structures from the past. I find that I discover even better ways to improve the construction process over time. Check out the Coffeehouse Card Kit for more unique cards in this format. Once you've mastered the process, try your hand at substituting papers, stamps and embellishments from your stash to make even more!
How about a peek at these beautiful cards?
Vintage Americana - Set A
This is the "standing box card," and we've designed two horizontal and two vertical styles. If you look carefully, you can see how the 1/2" paper tabs are adhered to the back of the card base. There are some easy tricks for doing this, so be sure to check out the video tutorial. (You'll find the link to the video on the first page of your instructions.)
Vintage Americana - Set B
The "wiper card" is easy and fun to make, and it requires no special cutting dies. The corner of a 3x3" paper square is folded at a 45° angle with the help of a grid ruler and strategically adhered between two scored card bases. Check out how the card looks from the side when the wiper is in the "up" position. The wiper jumps back down between the layers when the card is folded perfectly flat for mailing.
Vintage Americana - Set C
After all that clever construction, relax into a single fold 5x7" card. There are plenty of nesting panels and anchoring strips involved, and you can choose to assemble them any way you like. During the video, I'll show you how to use a grid ruler to center and align the panels perfectly. Otherwise, just do your own thing!
I'm so grateful for opportunities to create and share with all of you! In turn, I hope you are able to seize chances to spread love, peace and encouragement to others in your world.
So very fondly,
Tricia
