Create an Under the Sea master board with stamp and masking techniques. These master boards can be scanned to be shared with others or printed and used in all sorts of paper crafting projects.

Under the Sea Master Board Tutorial

Stamp the whale, sea turtle, and seahorse with India Ink on scrap paper. Adhere Frisket film over the stamped images. Fussy cut the shapes to be used as masks when stamping the collage.

Trim a piece of copy paper into an 8.5" square. Stamp the whale, turtle and seahorses randomly onto the paper using India Ink.

Remove the Frisket film from the copy paper stamped images.

Place the whale mask over one of the stamped images on the paper.

Stamp additional sea creature shapes, overlapping the masked area.

Continue to mask and stamp various images until you are satisfied with your collage.

The starfish image works perfectly to fill in any remaining white space.

Scan the 8.5" square master board and save as an image file on the computer at 300 dpi. Print the image in black and white in on 12x12 white paper.

Now you have a 12x12" print that can be colored with different mediums and techniques for use in a layout or other paper crafting project.

Master Board/Bonus Formula Layout

I chose to pair my Master Board print with the March Bonus Page Formula. (Available to members who received the Under the Sea collection).

To create a custom print, place the paper in a spray tray (aka Club Scrap pizza box). Spray the paper using a variety of Stipple Mists, Homemade Glimmer mists, and I-Zink Gold Spray.

I wish you could see how shimmery and shiny this paper is in real life!

Once your Master Board print is complete, select four coordinating papers. Follow the bonus formula cutting and assembly instructions to complete the layout.

Add photos, stamps, coordinating embellishments and journaling.

I hope you will experiment with a variety of stamped images and masking techniques to make your own master board collage.

Happy Stamping!
