After participating in Tricia's virtual Butterflies Box workshop on Friday, I was inspired to make the project myself using the Turquoise Card kit.
To replicate this project, visit the November VOLUME blog post for links to instructions and a replay of the video tutorial. Or, purchase and download the Quad Card Box instructions and run through the cutting and assembly instructions twice.
To make two boxed card sets, gather the following supplies:
Any CS® Card kit OR
(8) Coordinating 12x12 papers
Card Cutaparts (or stamps)
(8) Envelopes
2 yds. Ribbon
Follow the trimming and assembly instructions to create two card storage boxes and eight greeting cards. Each box holds four cards with envelopes.
As luck would have it, the Turquoise Card kit includes exactly eight sheets of paper, along with all of the cutaparts and embellishments needed to complete a pair of boxes with cards. Do you want to see how they turned out?
For an extra special touch, attach a mini envelope to the inside front cover of the box. Tuck four postage stamps inside the pocket so the recipient has everything they need to mail the cards.
As you can see, the card turned out beautifully, with plenty of embellishments to make each special in its own right.
The second box features a glassine envelope inside.
Four more uniquely beautiful cards fit inside.
With the holidays around the corner, these card boxes filled with greeting cards make excellent last-minute gifts.
Happy handmade holiday crafting!
