It's time to take a closer look at the cards and layouts in the Transformations collection.

LAYOUTS 1 & 2

We've incorporated coin artwork into the printed elements, and included the metal Chinese Coins as well. I love how the tri-colored rayon ribbon adds a nice pop of color to the layout.

We had a little fun with the images in this collection. They rock!

The Coconut Shell Buttons have slots, allowing you to slide them onto a ribbon. We've included plenty to go around.

When you simply cannot bear to cover one of the beautiful printed elements on the page, use a craft knife to cut a slot, and slide a corner of a photo matte behind it.

The Leaf and Stone Stencil and UM Collection stamps work in tandem to create dimensional images. First, stamp the stone or ginkgo leaf image (optional). Cover the image with the masking stencil, and fill in the openings with ink. The rocks are separated into two stacks, allowing you to alternate the colors of the stones. Here, I've used Earth and Moss inks with our Ink Applicator.

The Hammered Silver Paper reminded me of one of those contemporary pots or candle holders. Not wanting its beauty languishing behind photos or artwork, I created several .25x11 and .5x11" strips and layered them in the corner. Alternate with vertical and horizontal placement to "weave" them together and add the Silver Brads on the end.

LAYOUTS 11 & 12

The coins are printed on a strip of Eggshell cutaparts. I cut the center of each coin with a craft knife and removed them from the strip with a 1" circle punch.

Accent with three more coconut shell ribbon slider buttons.

The "tranquil" cutapart is tucked behind the ginkgo leaf printed on the 12x12 base paper and topped with a coin adhered using Bookbinding Glue.

The soft twill ribbon is pliable and perfect for embellishing. Cut a point into the ends by folding in half lengthwise and cutting at an angle toward the fold. Staple three folded 2" pieces to the edge of the Dk. Turquoise strip.
