This month I tried to stick quite closely to using basic supplies with The Blues Club Stamp collection. Sometimes it's comforting to know you can create thirteen cards with just two ink pads and a few simple items.

If you haven't picked up this guillotine-style Paper Trimmer, consider it. The proper tool makes the job easier!

THE BLUES CLUB STAMP KIT

The circular image from the UM Collection plate is subdivided into artful sections. I simply cut along the horizontal straight edge to separate the image into two parts and arranged them on the Denim card base with the matted sentiment. Leave the stamped image "plain" or accent with blended watercolor pencils.

It's sweet how the square corner of the quote fits right into the upper left corner of the artwork. This image has so much potential!

I enjoy finding new ways to utilize the distinct elements on the "quad" print featured in every Club Stamp collection. Here, the sheet was trimmed into (48) 1.25" squares. Each card base hosts twelve squares arranged in alternating patterns, three each of four designs. I can't wait to try this formula with other quad prints.

Have fun with watercolor pencils, Copic markers, chalks and other art mediums or simply leave the stamped triptych collage unaltered. Nest with Midnight panels and accent with the gorgeous two-toned ribbon included in the kit. Two lengths of the ribbon placed side by side remind me of a music staff.

My biggest challenge typically arrives after the bulk of the cards are completed. I stand back and say, "Well, this is what I have left. Now, what?" I was able to use the remaining text weight quad print to make three simple cards. Have I mentioned how much I love this ribbon? Add a silver music note charm near the knot of the bow.

Here, I stamped the Powder Blue panel with the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the UM Greeting and the White strip with the cute saying from the UM Borders & Backgrounds; accent with ribbon.

I used a jewelry wire cutter to remove the loop from the silver charm. (Be sure to orient the charm with the note heads on the left of the stems.) Use the plain side of one text weight panel to line the inside of the Midnight card base.

I hope you find these monthly instructions helpful! If you need A2 envelopes for your Club Stamp cards, 25-packs are available in the store. We'd be happy to add them to your next shipment!

Have a creative day!
