It's fun to revisit projects from the past. There are so many wonderful things Club Scrap has designed over the years, it's hard to choose! I recently made a Tapestry star book inspired by a project Tricia shared years ago on Craft TV Weekly.
One of my favorite themes last year was the Tapestry collection, so I made my star book with supplies from the page kit.
When the book is fully opened, it creates a beautiful star-shape.
Adding wooden beads to every other signature during the stitching process adds a decorative element to the spine.
The finished book measures 6×6″. Inside, each section features a two-pocket design. Each pocket will eventually hold a 4x6" photo.
Instead of paper clips, punched holes tied with ribbons connect the signatures.
Trim additional paper to create mats for each pocket. Decorate the inside pages with cutaparts and other embellishments as desired.
Embellish the book cover with a cutpart sentiment, filigree medallion and gorgeous dark purple satin ribbon - all part of the Tapestry page kit.
For additional inspiration, visit the blog to see the Constellations (January 2015) star book I made a few years ago.
I can't wait to fill this one with my dad's nature photos. (But shhh, it's a secret. I'm giving it to him for Christmas!)
Happy crafting!
