Create two cards with the Switched Shapes technique! Give it a try with any large stamped image and a favorite die cut. Don't you love when you can get multiple artwork from a single clever technique? I certainly do and I couldn't wait to share with you!
Switched Shapes Technique
Place an Under the Sea Deep Blue panel into a stamp positioning tool. Align the Fairytale castle image onto the panel. Close the lid on the positioning tool to pick up the stamp. Add White Pigment ink to the stamp and press onto the panel. Remove the blue panel and replace with an Aqua Metallic panel. Repeat the steps above.
Let the White Pigment ink dry completely. Stack the two panels together and position an oval die over the castle image.
Secure the die with washi tape. Run the panels and die through a cutting machine.
Remove the oval shapes from each panel.
Now it's time to switch the shapes! Place the Aqua Metallic oval into the Deep Blue panel opening. Repeat with the second panel.
Stamp each panel with a sentiment using White Pigment and Sapphire inks.
Adhere the panels to coordinating card bases. Embellish with sequins and rhinestones from your stash.
I hope you will give this technique a try! If you do, be sure to share it with us on the Club Scrap Chat group on Facebook. Not a member yet? Answer a few simple questions and we will accept your request in no time.
