The oft-requested, long-awaited Steamworks collection ships today! Our staff debated heavily about the theme name and we're so happy with our final decision. We hope you like it, too.

The rich palette contains some of my favorite colors in the spectrum. They combine to give you plenty of opportunities to scrapbook masculine topics, outdoorsy photos, and inventive themes. We're sure you'll have lots of "bright ideas" for this neutral collection!

A Note from Tricia

As many of you know, Club Scrap is implementing some changes to our kit options starting this month. We are so excited about where the future is taking us and can't wait to implement many of the ideas we've had waiting in the wings. Thanks again for your patience as we work our way through these updates. In case you missed it, here is a quick video message that summarizes what we have in store for 2018.

As always, if you have any questions about how your membership will work, please give us a shout at 888-634-9100 or send an email to [email protected]. We'll help you sort it out. Now that our club options are easier to explain, tell your crafty friends about us. If they join as a new member and use your name as a referral, we've got a $10 gift certificate for you!

We've had a lot of activity on our new private chat group on Facebook. To participate, simply request to join, answer two simple questions (to prevent spammers), and we'll get you involved straight-away. See you there!

Fonts and Inks

We used two font families to create text art for the Steamworks collection: Raven and Starship. (Both fonts are available for purchase but are not available as a free download.)

Kay's handmade cards feature the following Club Scrap® inks: Spruce, Ocean, Mahogany, Ruby, Tangerine, Earth, India Black, and White Pigment.

What's Ahead?

When we made an appeal for theme ideas last fall, member Beth Moran submitted her fervent wish for a Daffodils collection. Her mom lived across the street from the daffodil fields of Wayside Gardens, a huge catalog, and online plant and garden supplier. Beth not only suggested the theme name, but she also included a color scheme, art styles, quotes, and more! We decided to release the collection in March, just as the daffodils are making an early appearance in Wisconsin. It's been a long winter, and we'll be ready.

I found a new source for velvet ribbon, and I couldn't be happier with the quality. Be watching for more appearances in future collections. They make it in a zillion colors and widths!

I love this "wiper" structure. It is a pop-up card with a mechanism that mimics a windshield wiper. Simply pull outward on the left and right edges of the card . . .

. . . and a hidden greeting pops up! I have some effective time-saving assembly tips for you in an upcoming video.

I'll share even more details about the page kit tomorrow, and focus on the greeting card styles on Monday. See you then!
