The Shoji cards are quite impressive in form and function. We're focusing on unique gate fold and trifold structures this month. If you're new to cards like this, buckle up and hang on for a fun and informative ride!

Long-time Club Scrap member Lisa Oglesby is charged with the difficult task of proofreading and reviewing  almost all of of our instruction documents. (Insert applause here.) After proofing the card kit instructions, she was pretty sure I'd outdone myself with this  batch of  cards. But I promise . . . spend time with me during the assembly workshop video, and I'll hold your hand every step of the way.

Shoji Card Set A

Set A brings four 4.25x5.5" gate folded greetings. I love the "mathematical strength" of how the cards come together. The nested panels on the card flaps are the same size as the panel and sentiment. This offers greater flexibility in the distribution of color to each card.

Wrap the upper left and lower right corner of each sentiment with your choice of ribbon in the collection.

Shoji Card Set B

The Set B cards fit perfectly into an A6 envelope. Cut a simple notch into each section of the trifold card base to create a "screen" that mimics a Shoji room divider. If you happen to have a fancy tab punch or cutting die, use that here. Next nest the card with panels, sentiments, wafer thin Asian coins, ribbon, and an embellished black tag.

Shoji Card Set C

And this is my favorite! Create a set of four 5x7" kinetic shutter fold cards in Set C. The left and right flaps open to reveal a unique opening that mimics a camera shutter. We've covered this structure in the past, but this time I adapted it to this larger size. After an hour or two of trial and error, I landed on the most ideal formula and measurement for a successful result every time.

Are you new to Club Scrap? If you haven't seen how our card kits work, take a moment to watch the assembly video. (No purchase necessary.) Each monthly kit is like a workshop in a box. We'll carefully sort, trim, organize, and assemble each card set together. For just $21.95, the value and knowledge you'll gain from our monthly workshops is an incredible value. Come and join us!

Wishing you a month filled with lots of learning and creativity . . .

Tricia
