The Shades of Winter Page Kit has a comforting, cozy vibe perfect for scrapping your fondest memories. The color palette is classic and neutral, and the layouts can be paired with so much more than snow photos!

Just like our monthly kits, it's not necessary to use all eight pages for a single event or occasion. For best results, treat each two-page spread independently when choosing your photos.

Layout 3 & 4

I couldn't resist scrapping photos of Patrick's first time in the snow.

He could barely move in his snowsuit and boots, and he wasn't quite sure what to make of it. The "My favorite winter activity..." sentiment was ideal for these pics.

I had EXACTLY eight photos to work with, so I repurposed the round cutapart and snowflake "negatives" (from the white tags) to embellish the pair of double mats at the top of the left page.

Layout 1 & 2

There are so many winter activities that don't involve snow. For example, visiting a winery and breweries with friends!

These pages were so perfect "as is". The "winter" cutapart sentiment fit the occasion and these photos perfectly.

On the right page, a single horizontal photo spans the space created by the two double mats. Another un-matted photo fits into the open space in the lower right corner.

Layout 5 & 6

Another two-page spread where I didn't need to change anything. (The snowflakes were featured on Layout 3 & 4.)

We also stopped at a favorite distillery during our outing with friends. Photos include a close-up of my old-fashioned, as well as photos of Rita with her Girl Scout Cookie flight paired with special cocktails.

Layout 7 & 8

The last two pages feature photos from our final stop of the day.

On the left page, repurpose the 4x6 cutapart to mat a vertical photo.

On the right, crop and mat (Shades of Winter Remix Pack of Panels) a horizontal photo to fit into the upper left corner of the page. Trim the tag journaling cutapart into a rectangle and mat with a navy panel.

A slight shift in the placement of the trimmed elements creates space for a third vertical (un-matted) photo.

I hope you enjoyed this virtual tour of my finished layouts. I also hope my tips inspire you to "think outside the box" when scrapping your next page kit. Never be afraid to make small changes to customize the layouts to fit your needs.

We love to see your finished layouts, too! Please consider sharing your completed projects on the Club Scrap Chat Facebook Group. It's the place to get inspired, and inspire others.
