What do you see when you look at the jellyfish images on the High Tide stamps? A flower probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind, but that's exactly what our August Guest Artist, Cyndy Rogers envisioned.
High Tide Stamped Flowers
As Cyndy playfully describes this technique, it's kind of like jellyfish synchronized swimming!
Using a Misti stamping platform, you can transform the jellyfish image into a beautiful floral masterpiece.
Can you "sea" the flower now? The flower center starts to emerge once the image comes full circle.
Accentuate the inner petals with Diamond Glaze. Color outer petals with Tombow markers in coordinating colors. (Gem is from Cyndy's stash.)
Ready to see another one? The second jellyfish image is more detailed, resulting in a much more intricate floral design.
Color the image with Zig markers and colored pencils.
Highlight the center of image with Twinks for a bit of sparkle. (Star gem is from Cyndy's stash.)
Don't stop there! Stamp, color and trim several "flowers" to create the beautiful card below.
Add faux water droplets using Nuvo drops.
Cropping out the center of each jellyfish "flower" creates a sweet bouquet.
Just add die cut leaves and sparkle gems.
I hope Cyndy's reimagined flowers inspire you to look at your High Tide stamps (or any stamps, for that matter!) in a whole new way. You're only limited by your imagination!
