Create six gorgeous Reef Cards featuring a super fun Nested Strips card making formula from Club Scrap! Gather a selection of papers along with stamps, ribbons and coordinating Hybrid Ink colors to make this stunning set.
Tricia recently taught a workshop on the One of A Kind Virtual Event Facebook Group with the Petals Remix Card Kit. I repurposed those instructions to make this set of cards.
Reef Nested Strips Cards - Details
To replicate my cards, gather an assortment of papers from the Reef and Riverbend collections. Utilize the paper assignments below when working with the downloadable Nested Strips Card instructions and video tutorial.
- Paper A = Reef Yellow
- Paper B = Riverbend Lt. Aqua
- Paper C = Reef Green
- Paper D = Reef Card Print
- Cutapart = Reef White
Trim the papers according to the instructions. Assemble the panels and deal them into six piles, one for each card.
Determine which sentiment and image will pair best to substitute for the pre-printed cutaparts in the instructions. Dry fit the stamps over the panels to ensure the perfect fit.
Front Panel sentiments:
Position one of the White strips into a stamping platform. Place the stamp face down over the strip and close the lid and pick up the stamp. Apply Ocean Ink and close the lid to transfer the image/sentiment to the panel. Repeat this process on four white strips.
Position the shell image next to the sentiment and repeat the process with Topaz Ink (retired). Stamp "Thinking of you" onto the remaining strips with Spruce Ink. Add the stem with Ocean Ink.
Inside Panel Sentiments:
Create mini collages with several Reef images and a variety of ink colors including Spruce, Yellow, Topaz (retired), and Ocean.
