Create a gorgeous quad panel card accented with stamped images from the Beautiful Noise collection. These "art orphans" were leftovers from the recent mixed media Tri Panel project. The acrylic paints transformed these simple embossed panels into something special.
Quad Panel Card
Add texture to Beautiful Noise Burgundy, Lt. Blue, and Dk. Blue panels with embossing folders (Darice - Crackle and Cherry Blossoms, Sizzix - Tiles).
Spritz the debossed side of the crackle panel with silver shimmer spray. Allow the paper to dry completely before moving onto the final card assembly.
Squeeze a small amount of gesso onto a fingertip and spread gently over the raised surfaces of the cherry blossom panel. Continue to add more gesso as needed to cover the entire panel. This medium dries quickly when applied in a thin layer.
Brush coordinating colors of paint over the surface of the tiles panel. Note: This paper acted as a stamp in creating the Tri Panel project. The fourth panel in the set was a white paper used to remove some of the paints from these panels.
Trim the painted papers to 1-1/4x4-1/8".
Distribute the pieces evenly and adhere to a folded 4-1/4x5.5" Lt. Blue card base.
Lightly tap Earth ink onto the large floral images from the Beautiful Noise Stamps. Add to a white panel and color with pencils. Trace the outline of the stamped images with a fine tipped journaling pen.
Trim the panel to 3-1/4x4-1/2". Add the sentiment, single flowers, and sheet music images in Earth Ink.
Enhance the details on the small flowers with a fine tipped journaling pen.
Let's take another look at the completed card.
Don't forget to check your stash for art orphans the next time you are making handmade cards. There are always some hidden gems waiting for their moment in the spotlight. Happy Crafting!
