The Plaid About You Page Kit has a comforting, cozy vibe perfect for scrapping your fondest memories. The color palette is classic and neutral. So many photos coordinated with the collection, it made it hard to choose which ones to use!

Plaid About You Page Kit

Layout 1 & 2

I couldn't resist scrapping these highlights from my grandson's one-year portraits*.

The stacked mats on the right page reminded me of a photo reel, so I used a series of photos to tell the story. The toppling of the letter blocks makes me giggle. Poor Patrick!

Layout 3 & 4

Additional photos from Patrick's session* include his momma and daddy.

To minimize cropping on select photos, I eliminated the Burgundy nesting mats.

I used fussy cut hearts on the sentiment cutapart on the left page...

...so I could feature the laser woodcut shamrock on the right page. Instead of embossing powder, I used an Ink Applicator Brush to apply Spruce Hybrid Ink to color the woodcut. Since the photos feature a family of three, I left the "Two hearts..." cutapart off of the page.

Layout 5 & 6

The shirts Daddy and Patrick are wearing made choosing photos for this spread easy.

These pics of a newborn Patrick are so precious!

I did a bit of rearranging on the right side of the layout. I replaced the single Burgundy mat with two stacked horizontal mats (reserved from Layout 3 & 4). Nest a single vertical mat in the center of both mats to add prominence to the photo.

Layout 7 & 8

To really enhance the greens in Emma's graduation photos, I chose to skip the Burgundy mats and replace the burgundy ribbon with Plaid.

Rotating the horizontal mats to a vertical orientation required a slight shifting of the elements on the left page. Place one unused white mat at the top of the page to showcase an extra photo.

On the right, crop a photo to fit the open space on the journaling cutpart. Add a woodcut shamrock colorized with Spruce ink.

I hope you enjoyed this virtual tour of my finished layouts. I also hope my tips inspire you to "think outside the box" when scrapping your next page kit. Never be afraid to make small changes to customize the layouts to fit your needs.

We love to see your finished layouts, too! Please consider sharing your completed projects on the Club Scrap Chat Facebook Group. It's the place to get inspired, and inspire others.
