Spring has sprung! The Petals Page Kit features a soothing color palette and gorgeous x-rayed floral artwork suitable for any occasion. These pages are perfect for garden/nature photos, Mother's Day, birthdays and so much more.

Petals Page Kit

Each month, I follow pretty much the same routine: After the trimming and dry-fitting, I assemble the pages using Tricia's samples as a guide. When adhering mats, I use just a small bit of adhesive, allowing me to rotate or move them if needed. Then it's time to grab photos and get to work!

To better illustrate the process, I'll share the "nekkid" pages (as designed by Tricia) first, followed by my personal layouts - complete with photos. I'll be sure to point out any changes I made along the way.

Layout 1 & 2

The first four pages feature some of Dad's nature photos.

This spread came together so easily! Flower photos from Dad's daily walkabouts are a natural fit with the Petals artwork.

On the left page, layer a flower (punched from the Petals Pack of Panels) onto the silk flower for added dimension.

Since I had a limited number of vertical photos to work with, my solution was to crop two horizontal photos to 4 x 2-7/8" to fit the mat.

Layout 3 & 4

I put my own spin on the embellishments by adding a few petals (Pressed Flower Washi Tape) behind a few of the silk flowers.

Repeat the flower petal treatment on the right side.

Layout 5 & 6

I scrapped the final four layouts for my friend Oliver and his family.

For Layout 6, I "borrowed" the green plain Tricia had placed underneath the 4x6 cutapart. It was repurposed as a mat for a vertical photo tucked into the lower right corner of the page.

Layout 7 & 8

Oliver's momma did such a great job with the photos, there weren't many options available to crop to fit the smallest mats.

Instead, I added silk flowers to the center of two small mats. Next, I centered a vertical photo in the open space created by the stacked horizontal mats on the right. An extra purple plain from the Pack of Panels serves as a mat for the photo. I couldn't resist adding a few extra petals from the Pressed Flower Washi Tape - I love that stuff!

There you have it: Eight pages trimmed, assembled, completed with photos and ready for the scrapbook in about 2 hours. Now it's your turn! The challenge? Complete the Petals Page Kit before month's end and share the finished pages on the Club Scrap Chat Facebook Group.

Happy scrapping!
