Club Scrap recently introduced a new special release kit, Mon Amour, during a live unboxing. I think I placed my order for two kits before Tricia even finished her reveal on Facebook - that’s how much I love this collection! I knew I could make gorgeous Valentine’s Day cards using one of the many card formulas available online.

Choosing a Formula
After a bit of deliberation, I chose to work with Deluxe Card Formula #6. I thought some of the ATCs I’ve received from the Club Scrap ATC Swap would fit perfectly with the card designs. The formula even includes instructions to make a box with sliding tray and sleeve - A great option for bundling the cards to give away as a gift.

To recreate my box and cards, gather the following:

12” Paper Trimmer
3x14" Grid Ruler
Bone Folder
Scor-Pal 1/8s
Bookbinding Glue
Needle-tipped Applicator
Adhesive and Tape
Scissors
Begin by trimming and scoring eleven sheets of 12x12 using the following paper assignments:
12x12 A: (1) Label Print
12x12 B: (1) Taupe Pattern Plain
12x12 C: (2) Pink Metallic
12x12 D: (2) Red Metallic
12x12 F: (2) Black
12x12 G: (2) Gray
12x12 H: (1) Eiffel Tower Print (Trim into background panels - not included in the instructions)
Once all trimming and scoring is complete, follow the assembly instructions for the drawer and sleeve. Deal out the card bases and panels. Trim the Mon Amour cutaparts using the artwork as your guide; pair them with the card styles that fit them best. Follow the sketch provided in the instructions as inspiration for dry-fitting and assembly.

(2) Trays with Sleeves
For the tray/sleeve on the left, trim the "smile" cutapart to nest onto the Pink panel. Follow Tricia's "Double Looped Bow" method (13 Ribbon Techniques video tutorial) to create an accent with the Pink ribbon.
For the box on the right, trim the border strip cutapart to fit a Pink embossed panel. Add felt hearts (from my stash) with Bookbinding Glue.
(2) Style A
Nest trimmed border strip cutaparts onto the narrow anchoring strips. Add texture to each Black panel with an embossing folder. Create a collaged look by adhering a Washi tape "stamp" to White scrap paper cropped to size. Add the Eiffel Tower Woodcut and felt heart (from my stash) with Bookbinding Glue.
(3) Style B
Trim the title strips so the sentiments are centered evenly on the card panels. Use a circular die cut to remove the heart image from the cutaparts. Embellish the cards with a combination of Washi "stamps", felt hearts, and a silver Fleur-de-lis Accent.
(8) Style C
Trim sentiment cutaparts and border strips to fit the height/width of the card panels and strips. Add texture to the Gray panels with an embossing folder. Accent each card with felt hearts, charms and enamel dots.

Stamp the label image (Paris Flea Market 03.16) onto the Black panel with White Pigment Ink. Adhere silver Fleur-de-lis Accents with Bookbinding Glue.
Add texture to the Pink panel with an embossing folder. Wrap Ivory and Pink ribbon around one Red Metallic strip. Nest a cutapart border strip onto the narrow pink strip. Tie a bit of waxed cord onto the silver charm; adhere to the "amazing" cutapart. Stamp the "find beauty" sentiment (Paris Flea Market 03.16) onto the gray panel with India ink. Embellish each card with self-adhesive enamel dots.
(2) Style C and (1) Style D featuring Artist Trading Cards
I saved my favorites for last! It turns out Artist Trading Cards pair PERFECTLY with this card formula. I have a box full of ATCs that I like to use as embellishments on cards or pages.
The chocolate bar on the left was created by Club Scrap’s very own Karen Wyngaard. This was probably my favorite from the Chocolate ATC Swap. The middle card features an ATC I created using the Peony (05.21) collection. The far right card was created with my ATC from the Chocolate Swap.
