Inspired by Tricia's Stamp & Scrapbook Expo @Home presentation last night, I made a Mini Accordion Hinge Album using the Western collection. It's easy to make one for yourself. All you need is seven 12x12 papers and a few basic tools.
The original Accordion Hinge Book measures 5x7", which is perfect for housing 4x6 photos. (Visit this post to check out my On the Cape album.) This adorable mini version measures 3.5x5". Crop photos to size, or print wallet-sized photos for an economical option. (Hint: If you're handy with photo-editing software, you can resize photos to 3x4 and fit two onto each 4x6 print.)
The Accordion Hinge spine structure is so clever and unique.
Enjoy a little tour of some of the inside pages, decorated with trimmed panels and cutparts.
The 3x3" squares provide space for additional photos or journaling when adhered to the inside spine/binding tab area.
Add texture to the cover panels with an embossing folder; ink with Earth hybrid ink. Embellish with fussy-cut artwork and a bit of plaid ribbon.
The Mini Accordion Hinge Album makes a great gift. Fill yours with wallet-sized photos, artist trading cards, and more!
Happy book making!
