Create gorgeous cards with Mediterranean stamps! The images and sentiments will take you on a journey to a region known for its vibrant colors and fabulous foods.
I have never been to this part of the world, but really hope to see it in person someday.
Mediterranean Stamps
Card 1
Place a Blue panel onto a stamping platform. Mask a selected area by covering with a torn paper scrap. Dry fit the tile image over the panel to determine placement. Close the lid on the platform to pick up the stamp; add color to the image using Sapphire Hybrid Ink.
Ink and stamp repeatedly until the desired color saturation is reached.;
Remove the torn paper mask.
Add a stamped sentiment to the masked area using India Ink.
Stamp additional tile images to the top and bottom of the panel to complete the card.
Card 2
Stamp the tile images diagonally onto a Dark Yellow panel using Sandstone ink. Create a weathered look by making sure that some of the image is not fully inked.
Use Ash ink to stamp the olive oil image onto a white square panel. Color the images with markers.
Rough up the edges of a Light Yellow square with a paper distressing tool; mat the stamped square. Mat again with Blue.
Card 3
Place the lemon tree image onto the stamping platform. Color the trunk and branches with dark brown and use several shades of green to color the leaves.
Stamp onto a white panel. Color in the lemons with Yellow marker.
Open the platform; color the pot using a royal blue marker. Add shading with a deeper blue marker. Close the lid on the platform to stamp the pot portion of the image.
Add a sentiment to the outside of the card. Stamp "add sugar." inside.
Card 4
Randomly stamp the lemon image onto a white panel using India Ink.
Use Ash ink to stamp the same lemon image onto a scrap of Dark Yellow. Color with markers. Fussy cut the lemons using fine-detail scissors.
Add highlights with a white gel pen.
Add Foam Adhesive circles to the back side. Tip: Trim the circles if needed to accommodate the leaves.
Adhere the fussy cut lemons over one of the stamped images on the white panel.
Add a stamped sentiment to complete the card.
Card 5
Dust a Blue panel with anti-static powder.
Stamp the tile image onto the panel using White Pigment Ink.
Sprinkle the image with white embossing powder; heat set to melt.
Stamp the sentiment Sapphire Ink; mat and adhere to the front of the card.
Card 6
Stamp the olive oil bottle onto a white panel using Tangerine Ink. Add sentiments using India ink.
Trim 1/4" strips to coordinate with the card base and mats. Use Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator to adhere the strips to the left of the image.
Card 7-10
Create four cards at once, assembly-line style!
Trim Gold, Dark Yellow, Light Yellow and Blue into 3.75" squares. Place one square into the stamp positioning tool and align the tile stamp to ensure proper placement. Pick up the stamp with the lid and add Watermark Ink.
Repeat the steps to stamp the image onto each of the four panels.
Trim each panel into four 1-7/8" squares.
Gather four 4x4" white panels. Arrange the 1-7/8" squares onto the center of each white panel to recreate the stamped image. (Make sure all four colors are represented.) Adhere.
Add the panels to four different card bases. Stamp each card with a different sentiment.
