Are you expecting? Do you know someone who is? Pair the Easy Eight Album Components with the Li'l Sprouts Page Kit to make a beautiful 11x8.5" landscape album filled with eight fully-embellished pages.
This project is the perfect way to document a favorite little one, and the size makes it totally portable. Make one for yourself or as a gift for parents or grandparents to be - like me!
Li'l Sprouts Easy Eight Album
To replicate my project, you'll need to gather a Li'l Sprouts Page Kit, an Easy Eight Album Components Kit, and two sheets of 8.5x11 Super Smooth White paper.
Tie ribbons from the Li'l Sprouts kit (and maybe a few from your stash) to the binder rings for a whimsical touch.
Trimming and Assembly
Since the project instructions feature the Under the Sea Page kit, begin by assigning paper substitutions as noted in the cutting diagrams. (The paper substitutions I used are listed at the end of this post.)
Next, follow the instructions to trim and sort the papers. Once all of the trimming is complete, use Tricia's completed page samples as a guide for assembling your pages.

Bonus Page A
I wanted every page in the book to be removable and interchangeable, so I used one 8.5x11 Super Smooth White as the base for Bonus Layout A.
Layout 1 & 2
When assembling each two-page spread, try to make sure each color is represented on both sides of the layout.
Layout 3 & 4
Clever cutting with a craft knife allows the photo mat to appear "behind" the leaf border on the left page. Purple gingham ribbon appears on both sides of the spread, adding the perfect finishing touch.
Layout 5 & 6
An adorable plant stake tucks underneath white ribbon wrapped around the border strip on the right page.
Layout 7 & 8
The second 8.5x11 Super Smooth White is the base for the left side of this spread. For the right side, trim the bunny Cutapart using a stitched circle die and adhere to the front of a purple metallic envelope. Trim a white scrap to tuck inside.
Bonus Page B
Arrange all remaining pieces to create Bonus Page B. To embellish, tie a length of purple gingham ribbon onto the largest border strip.

The one remaining Green and (3) Duplex papers were trimmed to create a batch of photo mats (Bonus Sketch #13).
Assembly Tips
- The Li'l Sprouts Cutaparts ARE different from Under the Sea. Regardless of which page kit you choose to make your album, be sure to use the printed artwork on the cutaparts as your guide.
- In some cases, in lieu of the exact cutting instructions, you may wish to cut an 8.5x11 from a 12x12, and trim the leftover 3.5x12" pieces a bit differently to better accommodate your kit's Cutapart artwork.
- I added two 8.5x11 Super Smooth White to my supplies so I'd have enough bases for the bonus pages to be independent.
