Lavender Fields stamps - Making cards with Kay

Bring spring to your craft table with the Lavender Fields stamps. The Lavender Fields stamps are ideal for creating light and breezy greetings with a spring-like feel. This might be my new favorite stamp set! Here's a quick video tour of the cards I made:

Lavender Fields Stamping Tips & Techniques

CARD #1

Dab the top of the lavender bundle stamp with Amethyst Ink and the stem with Moss Ink and stamp onto a white card panel. Add three little bows around each stem cluster with waxed linen thread and adhere with a dab of glue. Stamp the sentiment onto a kraft tag and layer onto the card with Foam Adhesive Circles.

CARD #2

Stamp the collage image onto two white panels. Fussy cut the rectangle and bucket base from the second image. Add color with watercolor pencils and a water brush. Layer onto the first stamped image with Foam Adhesive Circles and Book Binding Glue to add dimension to the greeting. (Several of the quotes were designed to fit within the rectangle.)

CARD #3

1. Create a watercolor background with Club Scrap Inks. Visit these posts for detailed tutorials: Vintage Botany Dandelion Stencil and the One Layer Layout Technique.
2. Apply Spruce ink to the perfume bottle image, mist with water, and stamp to create a watercolor effect.
3. Add Amethyst and Spruce inks to the lavender sprig image, mist with water, and stamp over the bottle. Repeat to create a bouquet.
4. Trim the buds from one side of the Lavender Fields Flower Sprig embellishment and glue the tiny orbs onto the stamped lavender. (Tricia uses this same technique in the Lavender Fields Card Kit.)
5. Add glitter glue and splatters from a water brush and watercolor pencils to complete the art panel.

CARD #4

Layer a torn dictionary page with a Lavender Fields stamped Stone panel. Add a Mini Doilie, Flower Sprigs, and tie it all up with white twisted string. Stamp the greeting onto nested flags cut from Stone and Dk. Purple papers and adhere with foam circles.

CARD #5

Create the same watercolor background as in Card #3 and fray the edges with a paper distressing tool.

CARDS #6 & 7

Stamp "This isn't a thank you note" onto the outside panel of a slider card. Stamp "It's a hug with a fold in it" on the inside.
