Kids Rule Snap Ring Album - A mini book for your mini-me.

I'm so excited about our newest special release page kit, Kids Rule. I spent many hours of my childhood playing Lego, and I happily passed that love on to my children. Now, with a new grandson on the way, I couldn't resist "building" a sweet little snap ring album with the Kids Rule kit. Don't you just love it when a project comes together?

Kids Rule Snap Ring Album

The snap ring album is one of our smaller handmade book options. Just pair the components with any page kit to make a 6.25x7" mini album.

You can pick up the Snap Ring Album Components Kit in our online shop. It includes the items needed to create the book structure: Two cover boards, a spine board, snap ring hardware, two large brads and the printable instructions download. You'll also need bookbinding glue, a foam brush, ruler and pencil.

Outside Covers

Begin by assigning paper substitutions. (I've listed mine at the bottom of this post.) Once the trimming is complete and the book structure is assembled, you can begin the fun part - decorating! Use leftover paper to mat Cutapart borders. Enamel dots add a bit of color and dimension to the sentiment.

Create a 3-D "heart" by attaching the two red block charms together. Adhere to the front cover with a combination of bookbinding glue (flat parts) and foam adhesive (raised part) to attach it securely to the cover.

Inside Pages

Inside, the book is filled with a variety of 6x6" pages - a combination of single, trifold, gatefold, pocket pages, and more.

Tie a length of baker's twine to a block charm and attach to a trifold flap.

Embellish a black mini envelope with enamel dots. Insert a Cutapart tag topped with ribbon.

Fussy cut the banner border from the Cutparts. Gently bend into a curve and adhere with bookbinding glue.

Trim leftover strips into banner shapes to enhance select inside pages.
