It's only the 12th and I've already finished my July layouts made with the Forest Floor page kit. The rich color palette and calming artwork go with practically everything!
July Forest Floor Layouts
My dad's nature photos are a natural fit for this gorgeous kit. He takes amazing photos of the local flora and fauna on his daily "walkabouts".
I just love these great bird shots taken in our local park.
The Mike-man, Emma, and I recently hiked through Seven Bridges Park in Milwaukee. Little did we know there's a gorgeous park in the middle of the city. The photos look great on Forest Floor. I'm temped to make additional pages because I still have a lot more pictures to scrap.
More of Dad's nature photos fill the remaining four pages. He recently documented a family of great-horned owls, taking almost daily photos of the parents and baby owlets. Aren't the owlets cute?
I used two shades of light green Distress Oxide inks with the fern stencil to create the backgrounds. It's hard to tell, but the fern leaves almost "glow" on the darker papers.
I stenciled additional ferns onto the smaller mats in lieu of photos.
Stapling a bit of ribbon onto the cutapart tag makes it easier to pull from the muslin bag.
Fern leaves cut from HPOPs using the Forest Floor bonus dies accent the squirrel cutapart.
If you love nature photography, you can follow my father's photography page on Facebook.
We'd love to see what you're doing with the Forest Floor collection. To have your project considered for the featured artwork post at the end of July, be sure to upload photos of your finished pages, cards, or other paper crafts on the Club Scrap Chat group on Facebook.
Happy scrapping!
