One of my favorite member benefits is the monthly formula members receive to make bonus pages. The July Bonus page formula includes a gather list, cutting diagrams, and instructions to transform five sheets of paper into a beautiful two-page spread.
July Bonus Page Formula - Layout One
I chose three shades of green, brown and ivory plain from the Forest Floor collection to complete my layout.
Adding photos and embellishments makes this layout extra special. Photos taken during a recent trip to California pair perfectly with this color scheme.
Add a title using the HPOP to create die cut letters and flowers. The flowers mimic those found in the photographs.
Switching the left and right pages allowed me to continue the die cut wild flowers across the bottom of both pages.
Tricia recommends cropping photos for smaller photo mats 1/8", rather that 1/4". I really like the "film strip" effect it creates!
Layout Two
This time I selected the Fern Print as the base of my layout. Since the majority of Max's senior pics are vertical, rotating the left page 90 degrees better accommodates the photos.
Adding leaves from the Forest Floor bonus dies fills the open space, creating a decorative border.
