We couldn't think of a more joyful way to bring in the new year than with January's Color Me Happy collection! Check out this fun color palette . . .

A NOTE FROM TRICIA

This collection marks the release of our 212th consecutive monthly kit. Starting a fresh new year of themes, color palettes and art styles is both overwhelming and exciting. No matter how long we've been around, I'm happy to say that I find incredible joy in my work here at Club Scrap. We hope our efforts make your crafty time more fun and productive.

We're hitting the road again in 2017 with stops in St. Louis, Orlando, Arlington, Lancaster, Houston, and Ontario. We continue to remain on the waiting list to attend the Scrapbook Expo in Mesa, AZ, and also hope to return to Milwaukee. We'll be sure to keep you informed of our travel and workshop schedule as the year unfolds.

If you were hoping to attend the Club Scrap Retreat in October, we welcome you to add your name to the waiting list. There are only two spots remaining in the August event, so don't hesitate to register if you want to be there!

WHAT'S AHEAD?

Have you noticed how trendy Succulents have become? We figure that's because they are one of the most beautiful, low maintenance plants out there. Even I can keep them alive for years on end! They come in beautiful colors, can withstand challenging climate changes, and have unique geometric shapes. You'll see and learn more about them in February's Succulents collection!

KIT AND COLOR DETAILS

You can download the brush letter style Beacon font and its perfect complement, Florence, for free at DaFont. Use them to create titles and journaling for your digital hybrid projects.

We've already made a huge batch of cards with the collection and used the following inks to create them: Ocean, Sapphire, Tangerine, Earth, Peridot, White Pigment and India Black.

DELUXE LAYOUTS

The Color Me Happy Deluxe kit includes two 12x12 sheets of unique Yupo paper. If you're in the mood to create some custom backgrounds, this is your moment. The papers have been incorporated into the layouts so they can be used with or without alteration. We'll share more about this unique paper soon, but check out how it looks with blotted ColorBurst (on the left) and with brushed Gelato watercolors (on the right.) Alcohol inks and many other mediums work well, too! Be sure to allow plenty of time for the paper to dry before using it in your layouts.

GREETINGS TO GO

The Greetings to Go set includes a set of four adorable tent cards. After a bit of clever scoring and assembly, the tent is held in place by the greeting on the inside of the card.

I can't wait to share more details about the collection with you tomorrow!

Tricia
