One of my favorite tasks at Club Scrap is to create cards for monthly unmounted stamp spoiler email.
Let's peek at my Adirondacks card-making adventures...
JUMBO UM
CARD #1
Cut three 2" Ivory squares, stamp with images and sentiments from the sheet, allowing them to "fall off" the edges. Color the images, mat with Kraft and layer onto a Blue stamped panel.
CARD #2
Brayer a sunset background onto a sheet of white coated paper with Earth, Topaz, Carnation and Sapphire inks.
CARD #3
Back in the pre-GPS "olden days," we commonly used folded maps on our travel and hiking adventures. Re-create your own folded map with the trail map image. Fold a stamped panel, and apply Earth ink directly to the raised creases.
CARD #4
Stamp the mallard onto a sheet of Ivory, shade with colored pencils, and cut around the image with scissors. Layer onto the stamped panel with foam adhesive.
ART NOUVEAU UM
CARD #1
Stamp the fireflies within and outside of the jar, tint with a yellow pencil, and top with glitter glue.
CARD #2
Stamp the jar and lid onto a separate sheet of Kraft paper and trim with scissors. Add a double thickness of foam adhesive circles to the center of the jar and apply bookbinding glue to the outside edges to shape the element into a gentle curve.
CARD #3
Fold a sheet of Ivory paper and stamp the jar onto the edge of the crease. Cut through both layers with sharp scissors, leaving the fold in tact. Add a jute bow to the lid and use as an adorable gift greeting!
GREETING UM
CARD #1
Add dimension to the mini kraft envelope flap with a foam adhesive circle. Stamp a sentiment onto the top of a piece of graph paper torn from a spiral bound notebook. Adorable!
CARD #2
Stamp the miniature jar onto the lower center of an Ivory panel. Carefully cut around the rim of the jar with a craft knife, and slide Mint handmade stems into the jar. Top the stems with punched flowers, add a waxed linen bow, and finish with a stamped "jar of hugs" label.
CARD #3
Cut the UM arrow image into two pieces, and stamp the individual parts of the arrow around the words of a sentiment in a contrasting color.
CARD #4
"Canoe see" the cute little images on this sheet? Less is more, in this case. Simply stamp the image next to a sentiment and add a bit of blended watercolor.
