Create a gorgeous garden card featuring a rock wall "built" with the Cobblestone Paver stencil.
Garden Shed Card Tutorial
To make a realistic-looking stone wall, rub Weathered Wood Distress Ink over the Cobblestone Stencil onto a watercolor paper panel with an Ink Applicator tool. Swipe Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink onto an acrylic block. Paint this color onto the spaces between each rock with a waterbrush. Scribble Silver and Black Gelatos onto the palette and add shading to each rock with the brush. Heat set the panel to dry.
Trace the outside of each rock with a black colored pencil. Add additional shading, if desired.
Stamp the Cobblestone ivy image onto the wall panel with embossing ink. Sprinkle the ivy with green embossing powder and heat set to melt.
Stamp Garden Shed images onto a separate piece of watercolor paper with Ash Hybrid Ink. Add color with watercolor brush markers and highlights with a white gel pen.
Fussy cut the images with a craft knife on a cutting mat.
Adhere these pieces to the wall panel with Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator.
Assemble the card with a Garden Shed stamped sentiment layered onto a Cobblestone Gray mat. Adhere the trowel over the rake and the butterfly over the sentiment with dimensional foam adhesive.
Attach the entire background to a folded Gray card base.
I hope you "dig" my card and give this technique a try!
