Create a fabulous floating daisies background on the Hello, Sunshine striped print paper. I found a fun video tutorial on Pinterest and wanted to give it a try. Instead of Copic markers, I chose to work with white acrylic paint. This technique is reminiscent of the Right Spot Workshop taught at the 2010 Retreat.
Floating Daisies Tutorial
Stamp the Hello, Sunshine daisy image multiple times onto the striped print with India Black Ink.
Add color over the stamped daisies with white and yellow acrylic paints. Allow these to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
Stamp the daisy onto the painted flowers with India Black Ink.
Trace around the perimeter of each daisy with a light gray marker to add the appearance of a "drop shadow."
Layer the stamped panel onto a black mat.
Wrap a piece of Daisy Edge Ribbon around to the back of the panels and secure with clear tape.
Place a sticker sentiment on the ribbon.
Let's take a look at the finished card. I love how the daisies appear to be floating over the striped print background.
