Looking to take your card making to the next level? Our June guest artist, Wendy Bellino, did just that with her Firecracker card kit and stamps! Take a "first look" along with Tricia as she unpacks Wendy's cards from the shipping box:

Thank you, Wendy, for doing such a wonderful job on the cards! (Details on how each card was made available below.)

FIRECRACKER GUEST ARTIST - WENDY BELLINO

It's always an honor to be asked to guest artist for Club Scrap. What a fun kit to play with this month! The bimonthly stencil is one of my favorite tools and it just happened to be included in this kit--BOOM!

Set A: Blue and Light Gray Box Flap Fold Cards

Follow Tricia's folding directions for all four cards. Cut the “walk through fire” sentiment stamp apart *GASP* and stamp each red panel with a different section of the sentiment. Heat emboss with gold EP. (Add a bit of gold embossing to the edges, too, to create a framed effect.)

The inside cutapart adds the perfect amount of playful snarkiness. (According to my husband, the King of Sarcasm, no other embellishments are needed!)

After experimenting with the opening/closing process of the box flap cards, I realized minimal embellishments would be best. That made me dig deep into my creative recesses because I like bling! Trim the 12x12 prints into panels for the outside flaps. Added a star gem and lots of silver star dazzles.

Trim a 12x12 print for the inside panel. Ink the overlay stencil with watermark ink and heat emboss with silver and gold EP. Add another gem for sparkle.

For the next card, I applied coordinating shades of acrylic paint to my Gel Press, then stamped the fireworks and stars images to make a print. Cut the panel into four separate pieces, distress the edges. Trim the page kit cutapart, staple to gel print panels. Add lots of silver star dazzles for extra sparkle!

Create a Fourth of July picnic-themed card! Cut HPOP pieces (or plains) into thin strips. Interlock the strips for a basket weave effect. Trim 12x12 border strip for the sentiments and added a piece of the silver ribbon included in the kit. Finish with more of those dazzling silver stars!

Set B: White Cards

Inspired by the pinwheel card in this post, I adjusted the measurements to fit this card design. Trim the pieces from 12x12 prints. Add page kit cutapart sentiments. Embellish with silver ribbon and a star gem.

Swipe several coordinating colors of Distress ink onto a Gel Press to make a print on white card stock. Stamp fireworks, stars and sentiment onto the panel, heat emboss with gold EP. Embellish with sparkle brads.

Cut several plains and piece together to make a starburst background. Apply texture paste using the overlay stencil. Create a tiny rocket from scraps, stamp with the miniature stars and embossing powder. Stamp sentiment using gold EP.

Stamp the Adirondacks mason jar image to create a vase of sparklers! Ink the sparkler image using Perfect Medium, dust with Perfect Pearls. Add blue gems to the centers. Embellish with blue and white twine and a cutapart sentiment.

Set C: Dark Gray Stand-up Card

Follow Tricia's folding directions for all four cards. This was the FIRST card that I made with the supplies. Inspired by this double tower card, I altered the instructions to fit the dimensions of my card. It still folds flat! I cut the tiered strips with the intention of using the OOOH and AHHH stamps, but the cutaparts were a perfect fit! Decorate the front panel by pairing the stencil with gold and silver texture paste. Roll paper strips into firecrackers, adding blue and white twine for a wick. Embellish each with silver washi tape, star dazzles and/or gold tinsel glitter. Add the celebrate sentiment in silver EP.

A little inspiration from Martha Stewart and this card came alive! Trim a 12x12 print to nest onto the red center panel. Add stars and embellish with washi tape.

Follow the waterfall fold instructions from the 8♠ Card Making Idea Deck Vol. 2 to make the perfect interactive mechanism for this fun card. Embellish each waterfall panel with a stamped firework image using Perfect Medium and Perfect Pearls. OOOH and AHHHH were stamped and embossed, along with the “Just Look Up” and border strip stamp on the side panels.

This card features the twisting pop up mechanism included in the Pattern Play card kit instructions.( I altered the size to the fit the front panel.) Embellish with card kit cutaparts and star dazzles.
