Create a gorgeous set of Ever After Explosion Christmas cards when you pair the stamp set with Woodland Christmas sentiments.
At first glance, you might not think these sets would work together, but I think you will agree they are a match made in heaven!
To replicate my cards, purchase and download the instructions for Deluxe Card Formula 8 from our online store. Next, gather 5-6 sheets of paper - I used the paper assignments listed below:
Paper A - Fun and Games Taupe Metallic
Paper B - Fun and Games Red
Paper C - Farmstand Dk. Green
Paper D - Fun and Games Taupe Print
Paper E - Fun and Games White
Bonus Paper F - Fun and Games Black
Ever After Explosion Christmas Cards
Trim the papers according to the detailed instructions. Separate the pieces into piles according to size. Score and fold the explosion mechanisms and set aside.
Distribute the panels for each card into piles. Gather the largest white panels to create the focal point for the front of each card.
Pro tip: Practice stamping the artwork on scrap paper first, before finalizing your overall design.
Once you've chosen your design, arrange the stamps on a stamping platform. (This allows for consistent placement of the images on each panel.) Work in an assembly line fashion to transfer the art and sentiments to each white panel. Assign each image an ink color - I chose to work with Ash, Spruce, Leaf, Red and India Ink.
Continue stamping until the entire design is complete on each white panel.
Stamp the sentiment in India Ink.
Use dies or punches to create pine branches and flowers from Dark Green and Red scraps. (I hate to let anything go to waste!)
Add these paper elements to the stamped artwork with Bookbinding Glue dispensed with a Needle-tipped Applicator.
Embellish each panel further with Woodland Christmas Red Jewel Dazzle stickers - adding the largest size to the center of the paper flowers.
For the inside of each card, gather and stamp the small white panels in a similar assembly line format. Create four each of four unique designs/styles.
Distribute the artwork so the cards feature one panel of each stamped design.
Let's take another look at the finished cards.
Have you ever made cards with a mash up of different kit themes? It's so much fun and makes you really think about how you work with the stamps in your stash. Need more unique holiday card ideas? Visit these past blog post for more inspiration.
