I love this project because it's a "two-fer" - you'll make TWO mini books from a single page kit. I paired the class instructions with two different special releases: Oopsie Daisy Remix and the Let It Bee Remix. Now I have four mini books and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
Petite Book Duo
My daughter and two friends recently spent a Saturday together at a local sunflower farm. They took quite a few photos, so I wanted to provide a way for them to commemorate the occasion. The Oopsie Daisy and Let It Bee Remixes have such a fun vibe and both color palettes coordinate beautifully with the photos.

Oopsie Daisy Remix
To recreate this pair of mini books, utilize the following paper assignments:
Paper A = Brown
Paper B, C, D = Orange, Dk. Yellow, Lt. Green
Paper E = Collage Print
Paper F = Border Print
Decorate the interior and exterior of the finished books with Cutaparts and other embellishments. Trim the leftover papers as desired to create mats for photos and Cutaparts.
For the cover of the first book, mat the sentiment with Dk. Green. Attach a Daisy Gem with Bookbinding Glue. (The Needle-tipped Applicator is a must-have for precise glue application.) Fussy-cut the flower image and adhere with foam adhesive.
Inside, modify the Cutapart strips as needed to fit. Add photos inside the trifold pages.
The cover of the second book features a different sentiment mat in Lt. Green, enhanced with a Daisy Gem.
Don't forget to decorate the inside flaps of the tri-fold pages.
I added a journaling prompt to the inside back cover of each book so I can "sign my work" and write a brief note to the recipient.
Let It Bee Remix
To duplicate this duo, use the paper substitutions below:
Paper A = Brown
Paper B, C, D = Dk. Yellow, Ivory, Gold
Paper E = Large Bee Print
Paper F = Small Bee Print
The first book cover is embellished with a modified Cutapart sentiment, accented with a gold charm and jar tag attached with foam adhesive.
Left over papers trimmed to 4.25 square serve as photo mats on the back of each tri-fold page.
Another journaling tag inside the back cover serves as a place for me to write a little something for the recipient.
Decorate the cover of the second book with the Honey Cutapart and a Yellow mat. Arrange seven Woodcuts around the artwork and adhere with Bookbinding Glue. Top one hexagon with a gold bee charm.
Since I only needed three books, the fourth petite book is free of photos at this point. I'm certain I'll find a home for it one day.
