Double Mat Card Tutorial
Stamp the tree onto a white mixed media panel with Versamark embossing ink.
Sprinkle with copper embossing powder and heat set to melt.
Cut a rectangle shape from the middle of the embossed tree with a die (I used a Sizzix steel rule die) or craft knife, ruler, and cutting mat.
Set the outer panel aside. Spritz the inner panel with water.
Dust lightly with three primary shades of Color Burst Pigment Powders.
Dry the panel with a heat tool, being careful not to remelt the embossing powder.
Nest the inner panel onto a Birds of a Feather (2009) Lt. Blue mat.
Adhere the outer panel onto a Take Wing (2010) Lt. Green panel.
Adhere the inner panel over the outer panel. Align the original tree image.
Stamp the Mumbai sentiment onto the white panel with Permanent Jet Black Ink.
Finally, nest the layered panels onto a black card base.
