When samples of the Crewel & Unusual collection arrived at the warehouse late on a Friday afternoon, I didn't have the patience to wait until Monday to get started. I normally spread out at the office to create the layouts, but not this time. A couch, table and floor in my basement worked just fine!
Let's take a closer look at the layouts.
LAYOUTS 1 & 2
We found these adorable Printed Wood Buttons. They have a nice, low profile and add so much!
LAYOUTS 3 & 4
We just couldn't resist printing this pun on the cutaparts:
LAYOUTS 5 & 6
We gave Jacqueline the dimensions of the Jumbo Kraft Bobbins, and she was able to design cutaparts to nest perfectly onto the bobbin. Wrap the center of the bobbins with ribbon from the Embellishment Pack. Top each bobbin with a Silk Tassel, and you've got an eye-catching page accent!
LAYOUTS 7 & 8
Don't you just love these cursive Wooden Expressions?
LAYOUTS 9 & 10
Use a sweet Red Heart Brad to top the "i" in "imagine."
LAYOUTS 11 & 12
I adore this red silk ribbon! It has a slightly "crinkled" look and is very soft and pliable. It comes in all sorts of colors and widths, so watch for it to make a regular appearance in future collections.
LAYOUTS 13 & 14
Use our handy Glue Pen to attach a Painted Button in the center of the "O".
GREETINGS TO GO
SET A
Rather than keep the Red and Purple panels in their original square shape, we trimmed them into smaller nesting squares for this version of the 5x7" card. (Of course, the trimming is optional...you can keep them in their original size and nest the Yellow cutapart onto the larger squares.)
SET B
When it comes to selecting embellishments for the Greetings to Go kit, we seek items that will pass through electronic equipment at the post office without incident. These silver Mini Leaf Charms fit the bill!
SET C
Oooh, look . . . it's the gorgeous silk ribbon in the perfect shade of green! For this card, when you nest the Ivory tag-like panel on the front flap of the card, the artwork aligns perfectly with the cutapart on the inside of the card.
I hope you have an unusually great time creating with this collection!
