The Cobblestone Guest Artist is Roni Johnson. Roni transformed the Cobblestone card kit, stamps, paver stencil and a few other supplies into twelve original card designs. Let's take a closer look!

SET A: STONE A2 CARDS

Score and fold two card bases according to the instructions.

Use a variety of inks and the Cobblestone paver stencil to create the background on front of card. Stamp lamppost image onto Gray panel. Wrap "Happy Birthday" cutapart with fibers. Adhere to panel. Stitch one button onto card front to create closure.

Stamp paver image inside the card with Ash ink. Add cutapart sentiment.

For the second card, stamp ivy image onto card front using Leaf ink. Attach sympathy cutapart to small flap, and paver cutapart to larger flap. (Roni liked the cobblestone image on the second flap so much, she didn't want to obstruct it with the button closure.)

Inside, lightly ink the paver stencil with Ash ink to create background. Stamp more ivy using Leaf ink. Add cutpart sentiment.

Fold card base into upright Z-fold card design. Stamp pavers image in Ash ink onto front flap to create background. Add Gray panel and cutaparts. Finish with bronze button.

Use a die to create a swing card design. If you don't have a die, use a craft knife and mat. (You can google "swing card" or visit Splitcoast Stampers for a tutorial.) Stamp distressed brick image onto card base with Ash ink. Embellish with cutparts.

Stamp ivy border in Leaf ink across top of the Cement panel. Stamp pavers across bottom in Ash. Add lamppost, distressed brick and signpost images. Score and fold card base and panel per instructions. Assemble card. Add corrugated kraft tag, bronze medallion (Moroccan Spice) and cutaparts to card front. Stamp "Thanks" onto Off White scrap. Stamp signpost image onto Stone scrap. Use craft knife or scissors to trim out sign. Add stamped sentiment and adhere.

Fold Off White card base and Cement card panel in half. Use scalloped border die along each edge. Pair a variety of inks and the paver stencil to create a background on front of folded Cement panel. With the Off White card open, attach the back of the Cement panel inside, with the fold on the right, creating an overlapping double-fold design. Embellish with cutaparts.

Roni says, "I used lots of inking and watercolor on these cards both with the stencils and stamps. The stencil is really fun to play with multiple ink colors to achieve a realistic looking stone."

I hope you enjoyed this tour of Roni's awesome cards. I hope her creations inspire you to take a few of your own cards to the next level!
