On Saturday, April 15, Tricia taught a virtual workshop on the One of Kind Facebook group. During the presentation, students learned how to make a beautiful handmade Triple Panel Book featuring the Flourish Page Kit.
Recently, a friend requested I make a Triple Panel Book with the Cherish collection as a wedding gift for a special a bride and groom. Would you like to see the finished book?
Cherish Triple Panel Book
Triple-mat a sentiment border strip as a focal point on the album's front cover. Accent with an ivory silk flower and glass cabochon in a brass setting. Tie a bit of waxed cord to the key charm and adhere to the magnetic tab closure with Bookbinding Glue.
Crop the Wreath print to 6.25x8.75", use a circle punch along the right edge (to allow the magnetic closure to function), and adhere to the inside right cover.
Trim border strips/paper scraps to fit the two inside spines.
Measure each section of the trifold, cut scrap panels 1/4" smaller, and nest onto each section. Add a bit of ribbon to a manila tag and add a Cutapart sentiment.
Trim Cutaparts as needed to decorate select waterfall pages, the pocket, and the narrow tab closure.
Don't forget to add journaling blocks so the bride and groom can document important memories.
Tie a bit of waxed cord to the key charm and adhere to the sentiment with Bookbinding Glue.
The third section features a pocket that serves as home for the booklet insert.
The booklet essentially has two "covers". Decorate each as desired. Here I added a border strip, sentiment, and manila tag topped with ribbon.
On the opposite cover, I created a collage with a border strip, leftover print scraps and a manila tag.
Inside the accordion booklet, trim remaining 12x12 papers into photo mats. Embellish with ribbons, tags, and other items from the Page Kit.
