What happens when you combine elements from two special releases? In need of sympathy and thinking of you cards, I combined the newly-released Cherish Page Kit with Ever After Sympathy Card Cutaparts to make a lovely batch of cards. As luck would have it, the art and color palette of the two collections complement each other beautifully.
Kit Mash-up Prep
I chose to follow the Ever After Card kit cutting map and instructions (rather than Cherish) to ensure everything would fit perfectly. As special releases, both collections include the same number of papers. And the color palettes are so similar, choosing paper assignments was easy. To replicate my cards, follow the paper substitutions below:
Sea Green = Light Green
Kraft = Kraft
Manila = Brown
White = White
Dark Green = Dark Green
Script Print = Wreath Print
Greenery Print = Greenery Print
Ivory = Ivory
After trimming and sorting the papers and Cutaparts, use the photos provided in the Ever After Card instructions as inspiration for dry-fitting and assembly. You'll make six each of three different card structures for a total of eighteen cards. Substitute Cherish embellishments for those from the Ever After collection.

Cherish Sympathy Cards
Set A - 4.25x5.5" Single-fold Cards
Add Bookbinding glue to the back of a glass cabochon and place it over a printed paper scrap. Once dry, trim excess paper from the perimeter of the glass. Adhere to the center of the antique brass setting with Bookbinding glue.
Twist length of ivory satin ribbon across the sentiment panel, wrap the ends around the back and secure with tape.
Repeat the steps listed above to add artwork to the center of the antique brass setting. Adhere to the twisted section of ribbon with Bookbinding glue.
Nest a strip of White Linen onto the Kraft anchor strip before adhering to the 3.5x4.75" panel. Top with a sentiment Cutapart.
Tie a key charm onto the sentiment panel with a length of white waxed cord.
Nest a strip of Ivory Linen onto the Light Green anchor strip before adhering to the 3.5x4.75" panel. Add an ivory silk flower.
Accent the panel with three dots dispensed from a Pearl Pen (Wisteria Lite 07.13).
Tie a length of dark green ribbon around the sentiment panel before adhering to the mat.
Set B - 4.5x6.25" Split-flap Trifold Cards
Knot a length of gold metallic ribbon, wrap it around the sentiment panel, and adhere to the back with tape.
Interlock two loops of dark green ribbon, wrapping the ends around the back of the sentiment panel; secure with tape.
Tie a length of gold metallic ribbon around the sentiment panel.
Tie a length of ivory satin ribbon around the sentiment panel. Accent with a scattering of small dots dispensed from a Pearl Pen.
Knot a length of gold metallic ribbon, wrap it around the sentiment panel, and adhere to the back with tape before nesting it onto the 3x4" panel.
Set C - 5x7" Single-fold Cards
Tie a length of ivory satin ribbon onto the manila tag. Adhere a corner of the matted sentiment onto the tag before adding to the card panel.
Trim the ends of a scrap of gold metallic ribbon at an angle. Tuck behind an ivory silk flower.
Wrap loops of gold metallic ribbon around each side of a heart wood frame and attach to the back side of the nested panels with tape.
Tie a knot into a length of ivory satin ribbon. Tape ends to the back side of the anchoring strip before attaching to the 4.75x6.75" panel. Accent the sentiment with a silk flower.
Interlock two loops of dark green ribbon, wrapping the ends around the back of the sentiment panel; secure with tape. Add a silk flower accent.
Tie a length of ivory satin ribbon onto the manila tag. Adhere a corner of the matted sentiment onto the tag before adding to the card panel.
Accent with three dots dispensed from a Pearl Pen.
