Cherish Drop Spine Box with Mini U-Hinge Album
If you'd like to make a box and mini album of your own, simply purchase and download the instructions from our online store. Next, gather your favorite page kit, drop spine box components, 12x12 mat board and a few basic tools. (You can explore the gorgeous Let It Bee version, along with a complete list of tools and supplies, on my blog post.)
The instructions and video tutorial guide you through the paper trimming and sorting process. After the trimming is complete, construction of the box and mini album can begin.
To replicate my project, use the following paper assignments:
Paper A = Brown
Paper B = Wreath Print
Paper C = Greenery Print
Paper D = Lt. Green
Paper E & F = Ivory Linen, Kraft
I always consult Tricia's page kit assembly instructions for ideas on utilizing embellishments and cutaparts. Why reinvent the wheel, right?
The prints in this collection are such that the box didn't really need further decoration. However, I couldn't resist dressing it up a bit with this idea from Layouts 5 & 6.
Add a bit of texture to the cutapart with a paper distressing tool.
Mini U-Hinge Book Visual Tour
After assembling the book it's time to decorate! There are so many pieces left to work with after book assembly is complete.
The long strips nest perfectly with the border cutaparts.
I eventually ran out of long strips to fit the final two border cutaparts.
As a solution, trim the Light Green strips in half vertically and adhere them to the back side of the cutaparts.
Trim each border strip to fit the inside pages of the book.

Bonus Scrapbook Layout
I had two White Linen papers that were not trimmed into photo mats, so I paired them with left over pieces to create a two-page spread. Transform additional scraps into lovely die cut foliage embellishments.
