Welcome to the Blog Hop! This month our bloggers are featuring projects using the September Blueprints collection.
Looking for the "blueprint" to creating cards with lots of architectural interest? Look no further! I frequently browse past Scrap Raps for a creative kick-start and I remembered the Zig Zag Card Formula from the Bookshelves Scrap Rap (page 17). I knew the card style would be perfect with Blueprints.
Zig Zag Card Formula
I grabbed plain white cardstock and followed the cutting diagram and instructions. Once the pieces were cut, I decorated the nesting panels using a couple favorite techniques with the Blueprints masking stencil and unmounted rubber stamps.
Stamp Resist: For the "Just Hello" card, stamp UM images with Versamark ink, and emboss with clear EP. Apply CS Hybrid Inks in Topaz, Ash and Earth with ink applicator tool. Wipe away excess ink with paper towel. Ink edges with India inkpad. Add stamped greeting (Wild Flowers).
Masking: To replicate the birthday card, apply Peridot and Lagoon Hybrid Ink over the Blueprints masking stencil with ink applicator tool. Keep mask in place, and overstamp UM images in India ink. Ink edges.
The result? Two architecturally interesting cards!
