Create more Architectural Elements pages when you pair the papers and stamps with the February bonus formula.

Architectural Elements Pages

I'll show you how to make a custom print and create a unique page title from a paper scrap. Collect your CS® Hybrid inks, Architectural Elements stamps, along with the February bonus formula, and let's get scrapping!

Architectural Elements Pages

Gather five plain papers from the Architectural Elements collection as indicated by the formula. To replicate my pages, utilize the following paper assignments: White (Paper A), Merlot (Paper B), and Black (Paper C). Two Lt. Gray Plains (Paper D) will serve as the base of the layout.

Custom "Print" Tutorial

Prior to trimming the papers, you'll want to create your custom print. First, gather three small images from the stamp set and mount them onto to acrylic blocks.

Starting in the center of the White Plain, stamp the first image at an angle with Sandstone Ink.

Position a second image adjacent to the first; stamp with Wine Ink.

Add the third image with India Ink. Continue to add images to fill the paper, maintaining a single color assignment for each image.

When nearing the perimeter of the paper, allow a portion of each image to "fall off" the edge to mimic a real "print".

Once your "print" is complete, it's time to cut the papers according to the instructions included in the formula.

Trimming and Assembly

Trim and sort the 12x12" papers: White (Paper A), Merlot (Paper B), and Black (Paper C).

Once the trimming is complete, refer to the sketch to dry fit the trimmed pieces. Round the corners of select pieces as noted in the diagram.

Adhere skinny border strips with Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator.

Ensure perfect alignment of the border strips and mats with the help of the zero center on a 3x14" Grid Ruler.

Continue to adhere each piece until the layout is complete.

Additional Tips

Before cropping your photos, test fit them over each mat to ensure proper placement.

Trim the photos and adhere to the mats.

Custom Faux Embossed Title with Die Cut Letters

Apply clear packing tape to a long Merlot scrap. Burnish with your fingers or a bone folder to remove any air pockets.

Trim excess tape from the strip. Position skinny letter and number dies onto the tape-covered strip and run through a die cutting machine.

The tape adds a bit of shine to your title!

Holding each die cut with tweezer, apply Bookbinding Glue to the back of each piece.

Position the title in the open space at the top of the left page. Let's take another look at the finished pages.

Happy scrapping!
