Create a lovely layered seashell tag featuring elements from the Sea Breeze collection paired with a variety of die cut embellishments.

One of my favorite things about living on Cape Cod is being so close to the ocean. I love taking long walks by the water and picking up seashells along the way. This tag fully captures my beach combing spirit.

Seashell Tag Tutorial:

Create a background on a shipping tag with Color Burst Pigment Powders and water. Add coordinating colors of Distress Inks to the edges of the tag with an ink applicator tool.

Spritz the tag with water to create a speckled effect.

Cut and emboss two large seashells with Turquoise paper and a Sizzix die set.

Brush white gesso onto the raised edges of the shells and set aside to dry.

Stamp the lantern image from the Sea Breeze Stamps onto white paper with Versamark ink. Gather black, silver, gold, and copper embossing powders.

Sprinkle the powders onto the lantern in stages as demonstrated in the photos below.

Cover the entire image and heat set to melt.

Fussy cut the lantern with a craft knife and cutting mat. 1. Cut all of the longest sides of each window. 2. Trim the short sides of the middle window. 3. Cut the short sides of the right window. 4. Trim the short sides of the left window.

Punch a hole in the handle and fussy cut the lantern with scissors.

Add fussy-cut driftwood, punched flowers, a stamped sentiment and die cut

coral.

Let's take one more look at the finished tag.

Have fun making Sea Breeze inspired projects this month!
